YOU ARE ENOUGH

Just wanted to say how grateful I am today. I purposely chose to post a blog today because today is the one year of starting this blog, let me hear an amen! I started my blog through a leap of faith. I felt the need to start a blog but I didn't know what to write. God was just telling me, "start and I will show you the way" and I just want to express how God actually showed me the way. This blog is not only to encourage others but it is for my own purposes. When I need some directions, the Holy Spirit directs me back to these blogs and my prayer is the Holy Spirit should do the same for you in Jesus name. My friend Mariam always says "Sarah you talk too much" so I'm going to just get to the point here.

I was listening Jireh the other day…if you know this song you just know that there’s something addictive in this song. If you haven’t ever listened to it please go and listen to it (it will be below the blog if you want to listen to it)…“Jireh- Chandler Moore, Naomi Raine and Elevation Worship”. As I was saying, I was listening to this song and all the words kept jumping out. “I’ll never be more loved that I am right now”, “Jireh you are enough”, “I am enough”, “I will be content”. The word 'enough' according to my pal Google means “in or to a degree or quantity that satisfies or that is sufficient or necessary for satisfaction”. In one word, enough means satisfied. Let me ask you a question and please take a moment to really ask yourself this question: Do you think you're enough?... Do you really feel like you are enough?

Are you satisfied with who are you? Do you always feel like you are good enough? Beautiful enough? Talented enough? Strong enough? See the Bible in Genesis tells us about how God created things and He said "It is good". The only time he said "It is not good" was when Adam had no companion, and he fixed that straight away (Genesis 2:18). God from the beginning of time focused on perfecting everything for us so why would you think you are not enough when everything was set for you to feel enough. Sometimes people are very good, I mean they have a First Class Degree Honours in making people feel like they are not good enough, but today, we seize that in Jesus name. Have you been in a relationship where you don't feel loved enough? Or have a friendship group where you don't feel pretty enough? Or in your family you don't feel smart enough? The sad truth is you might not always be as pretty as someone, as smart as someone, as loved as someone, but why do you care about that. In the eyes of God, you are the prettiest, smartest, loved person ever. You are loved by God, and until you see yourself as the best, there is not way you can see yourself as the enough. My friend Jeffrey Boateng, who is a minister of God said something in his preaching about humbling yourself but that line he used can be used in this scenario. He said "you look at other people with magnifying glasses but you look at yourself with microscopic glasses". You look at people in a broad aspect but you look at yourself in the smallest way possible. God had placed a lot of talent and gifts, and greatness in you, therefore you need to use a magnifying glass to view yourself and enlarge the things that looks little in your eyes.

You are enough. You do not need anyone to tell you this. No one can ever make you feel unwanted when you know yourself and you know you are enough. God had made you enough. Be content and satisfied with who you are and what you can do. Your gifts are your gifts, stop wishing for something you don't have and appreciate what you got. Don't let any girl or boy tell you you are not enough. You are. And if you don't believe it, pray to God to give you strength to believe you are enough. You are the child of the King. You are royalty. Feel it and act accordingly. Get to know yourself, do not let people bring you down.

Prayer: God we thank you today for everything. We bless your name and we give you praise. We thank you for showing us today that we are enough. God give us the strength and power to be satisfied about ourselves. Any power that is fighting against us to doubt ourselves we rebuke it in Jesus name. We thank you Lord, amen.
