A PRICELESS BEING

So there’s this verse that every time I stumble across it just speaks to me. It brings a smile to my face and it lifts my spirit for some reason. Like no matter how the mood is it just touches me. The Bible says in Isaiah 43:1 that “But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.” Like wow…this is just like a love letter to my ears. The thing is I always keep thinking isn’t created and formed the same thing? Like why would God say created and formed in one chapter. So I asked my Uncle Google to help me out here. So he said “Created” means “to bring something into existence” and “Formed” means to “make or be made into a specific shape or form”. See I am not an English person so this just both kinda seemed similar to me even though deep inside I felt like maybe they are not.

So the Holy Spirit had to intervene and help a sister out. He told me…”imagine creating a Gmail account. The first step is they’ll tell you create an account so you create an account. But notice how whenever you create an account it never ends there? They’ll ask you for more details. Example add a profile picture, location, or something. The fact that you created the account doesn’t mean you were done. You went ahead and formed the account into the way you want it”. I was like wow…does that not just summarise and wrap my whole created and formed confusion. So basically, God created us but ended up forming us uniquely. He probably gathered the clay when creating Adam and had an idea of what he is supposed to be but after, He took His time and formed him exactly how He wanted him to look like and become.

The reason of this blog today is just to draw your mind to the fact that God took His precious time to not only create you but to form you. You need to understand that you are precious in God’s sight and you are priceless. Deep how you never care about things unless you invested your time and resources into it. God invested His time to ensure you were perfectly created and made so why are we all so unappreciative of this privilege that God loves us and therefore wants us to love ourselves as He does. He wants us to know that we are worth all His time, and that we are created in His own image. He even topped it up by adding some icing on the cake by saying “You are Mine”. Do you know how beautiful and mind blowing is it to know that after God created and formed you, He called you His. Do you know how it feels to belong to God?

Let me divert just a little to the fact that you think the devil doesn’t understand the importance of a person appreciating the way God created them that’s why he goes ahead to put in you the spirit of insecurity? When you are insecure you don’t appreciate the fact that your Lord God took His time to mould you into perfection. Ladies and gentlemen, you are perfect and you are priceless. You are unique and you are beautiful. You are created and formed. You are loved and appreciated. You belong to God and therefore should behave and move as so. Let God feel proud that you appreciate His handiwork. The Lord loves you and I pray that we all come into an understanding of His love for us. May God continue to bless you and remove any scales in your eyes and doubt in your heart. Keep shining and keep glowing. You are blessed in Jesus name, Amen.
