THE APPROACHING TRAIN

When you go to the train station and there is a train approaching the platform what do you do? You get ready to jump on the train because if there’s any slight mistake, you will miss your train. View this world as an approaching train, if you don’t jump on it now, you will miss your chance. Luckily, you can catch the next one but you might be late to your workplace or wherever you’re going.

God is so mighty that when he gives us opportunities and we miss them, he gives us another one. God wants the best for us all so he will not leave us until he knows we have received the best. In the Bible, we saw the woman with the issue of blood. This lady made it clear that she will not miss her opportunity. When the train was coming (which is Jesus), she got ready to get on board. If you don’t know the story, it is about a lady that had blood issues. She paid a lot of physicians to get it sorted but there was no cure. When she heard Jesus was coming, she had faith that if she touched his clothes, she will be healed (story found in Mark 5:25- 34; Luke 8:43-48). What happened later is that her faith got her healed. She saw an opportunity and she grabbed it.

What situation are you in? Today I’m asking you to get up, get dressed and go and wait on the platform for your opportunity. You need to be opened to the opportunities God is setting for you. You need to be ready to jump on the train no matter what. If you live in London you know that the underground gets very packed at rush hours and you need to squeeze tight to get on the train. It is a nightmare. Most people are on that tightly packed train but listen, that doesn’t mean you can’t squeeze yourself into that opportunity. Fight for your spot. There are a lot of opportunities around you. Take courage, be consistent, and watch the approaching train because you are going to get on it and it will take you to your destiny. God bless you.

Prayer: Father Lord we thank you. God as we are here reading this we just want to say glory be thy name. God, give us the strength and faith as we prepare to step on this train. Do not let us miss it. If we miss it sometimes God, please send another one right away. And Lord, even if we miss that one too because of lack of faith, keep sending till we finally get on. We bless your name and we know you’ve heard our prayers and answered them, in Jesus name, amen.
