Today, we’ll do a bit of science. Have you ever heard of diffusion? Diffusion is the spreading of something more widely. So in Ghana I was taught this and the example we used was when you spray a perfume. When you spray a perfume, the smell goes from one point to another. Everyone in the room can smell it.

Now let’s use the Holy Spirit as a example. When the Holy Spirit is in us, the benefits we gain is always spread throughout. Sometimes you see someone and you just know that they are being used by the Holy Spirit. This is because the fruit of the Holy Spirit shows in them and it’s spreads. Galatians 5:22-23 speaks about the fruit of the spirit which is “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” So today’s post is simple. We need to let diffusion take in charge of our lives. When you accept God as your Lord and personal saviour, the Holy Spirit automatically becomes a part of you just like how your heart, your brain, your lungs are a part of you.

Show love to strangers and everyone. Let someone see you from a distance across the room and just know your heart. Be gentle and kind to everyone. Be patient and show peace. Let everyone see the glory of God by only looking at you. Don’t do things because people are looking at you. Do things because they are right. You cannot see how the smell of a perfume spreads but it does. Let people look at you from the start and wonder “how can this person love someone like that?” Let them come closer and learn that the reason why you are who you are is because of God. Be nice to everyone. It is hard sometimes to love people but do it anyways without expecting anything back. God loves you and this week, let the Holy Spirit use you. Prayer: We thank you God for today. It is by your grace and mercy that we’re still alive. God I pray and I ask you to let the Holy Spirit work through and with us.
