Everything is categorised in this world. Some of us are black, others are white. Some people are poor, others are rich. Some people are tall, others are short. Some people speak French, others speak Spanish. We can’t all be in the same category. I can’t be rich, poor, tall, short, light, dark at the same time. I belong to a category and everyone does too. But there’s one thing that doesn’t categories us. The bible. Let me show you a couple of verses that has “all” in it.
- Philippians 4: 13
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
- 1 Peter 5:7
“Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
- Matthew 6:33
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
- Colossians 3:14
“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
- Proverbs 3:5
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”
- Psalm 103:3
“Who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,”
- Proverbs 8:4
“I call to you, to all of you! I raise my voice to all people.”
- Psalm 145: 18
“The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.”
- Hebrews 13:25
“May God’s grace be with you all.”
- Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.
I personally know there are about 50 plus verses that state “all”. For all have sinned, this means we have all sinned. We are all sinners. “I call to you, all of you”. The bible didn’t say I call to some of you. But all. All the blessings that are in the Bible belongs to all of us. Every instruction in the bible belong to all of us. The Bible gives all of us the chance to receive this blessing that God has bestowed upon all of us. God calls us all. God speaks to everyone. God loves everyone. Don’t sit there and think “God only blesses the pastor” or “God only speaks to the prophets”. No no, all of us. The Holy Spirit lives in all of us. No matter what sin you have committed or how low your faith is, God loves you and you are included in the all.
Some of the verse above also talks about when you are doing things use all of your heart. Or all of your mind or put your all in it. Don’t be half-hearted in things. It’s either you do it or you don’t. Don’t wake up today and say “I believe in God but...”. In everything you do, be willing to wait for the finish line. Let’s say you go shopping and you carry a lot of items to the till and you just say “Okay I’m done now I’m going home” without checking the items out. Can you see what I mean? You haven’t finished the task. You have brought all your problems before God but you don’t wait for him to answer and you just check out. If you start something you need to finish it or just don’t start if you think “Erm I’m not sure I want to do this”. Be committed. Be ready. Be patient and finish.
We need to put our all in everything we do. We need to believe God can do it all for us so we should also put our all in it and wait for it. People say this a lot: “when you’re jumping into a relationship, you have to be fully in or out”. God is ready to accept you no matter who you are. They all belong to you too. God doesn’t discriminate. If He said “all” then He means all. All as in you and me.
Prayer: Heavenly Father we thank you for this day. God, your word said all and today I have understood that I am part of this all. Whatever blessings you’ve stated, I know I’m included in it. Help me to also involve myself completely in you. I thank you, in Jesus name, Amen.
Testimony: I thank God for our lives and for providing us with our daily bread. Keep doing you, God.
